    Tree Planting Day

    Posted on: 29 May 2023

To help celebrate National Tree Planting Day we are inviting the community to help plant 3000 trees in the Cashmore area over the next few weeks. Tarragal Landcare Group in partnership with SEA will be helping to plant back just over 3000 new trees, shrubs and grasses on local farms. This is just one of the many tree planting events that is taking part across the catchment over the next few months.

Tree planting events provide community’s with an opportunity to get behind the farm gate and see the amazing work that is being delivered by local primary producers and hobby farmers. Landcare projects are designed to benefit both livestock and wildlife. By increasing connectivity (through tree planting) in the landscape landholders are creating opportunities for wildlife to access new habitat, to feed and breed in new areas and at the same time improving conditions for livestock.

If you are interested in getting out onto a local landcare property and would like to participate in our community tree planting day, send an email to facilitator@sealliance.org.au
