The Friends of the Portland Loreto Reserve was incorporated in August 2021 and members of the committee entered into a 50 year lease agreement with the Loreto Property Association in May 2022.
The groups purpose is to conserve, protect and enhance the natural values of this bushland reserve. Both a Management Plan and an Action Plan have been developed for the 24.5 hectare reserve. The bushland area is an isolated forest remnant of coastal Messmate Eucalyptus obliqua, at Bolwarra in South-west Victoria, and is owned by the Loreto Property Association.
The aim of this plan is to conserve, protect and enhance the natural values of this bushland reserve.
