Book Launch at the Portland Library

Posted on: 9 April 2024

SEA Landcare is partnering with the Glenelg Library to launch Kevin Sparrows Plants of the Great South West 4th edition on April 30.
This fantastic book supports readers to further develop their passion and interest in both plant ID and propagation. The book boasts an amazing image collection which is wonderful for those wishing to refine their plant ID skills or make a start on becoming a plant enthusiast!
Books make great gifts, and this one certainly won’t disappoint! A great companion guide for anyone who loves plants, anyone who is wondering what type of plant to plant in an urban or rural garden to support local wildlife or for those looking to identify plants in bushlands & coastal reserves.
Kevin Sparrow and his wife Joy have driven all over southwest Victoria’s beautiful countryside collecting images and data to bring our community this fourth edition. Kevin has collaborated with Gunditjmara artist Lee-Anne Clarke to develop a gorgeous new front cover and Brett Clarke to include information about the 6 Aboriginal seasons.

Books on sale at the launch.

This is a free event, but you will need to reserve your seat.

We hope you can join us for this special meet the author event.
